Danish gravy.
Well, one thing about coming back to Denmark is that your stomach has to get used to all the cream and richness in the food. I’ve been really spoiled by my parents, who has been more than thrilled seeing me again, and therefore served me none the less than my favorite dishes ![]()

So here’s a couple of photos from the first couple of days’ dinner. First we have grilled chicken with new potatoes, homemade rhubarb jam, cucumbersalat, lettuce in cream, lemon and sugar, and of course a looovely gravy.
Second, we have proper danish eel (look at the size, Bee Choo) with new potatoes in white gravy and parsley. With this one, we actually celebrated the New Zealand country, by drinking a fantastic Sauvignon Blanc 2002 from Tasman Bay. Yummi!
If this feast is going to continue, I’ll be ending up as a fat danish boy with danish gravy coming out my ears. ![]()
